SEED THOUGHTS
cultivating catalysts for change
People contribute to earth care in so many ways, all using their own unique gifts and talents. And young people often have inspired breakthroughs solving age old problems. How can we stimulate these brainwaves? Encourage new generations to care about earth care. We are asking all environmentally minded individuals, and green groups, to ask younger generations: “how could or would you like to help our planet?” New acorns will grow new oaks!
Examples of recent creative developments include a Cornish school taking children to ‘Symphony Woods’ to make music on site inspired by the trees surrounding them. Newquay Community Orchard has found numerous ways to creatively inspire their 16-24 year old horticultural students. A flexible drama teacher in Singapore has invented international learning games with nature symbols.
Please get in touch at enquiries@lovetreescornwall.org marking your email ‘seed thoughts’. We hope to acknowledge and publicise all contributions, but pressure of work may prevent this, similarly with our intuitive decisions awarding celebratory prizes and presents.
Encouraging earth care will be key to our planned ‘Tree Centre’. This will be a relaxed, green teaching hub to grow positive approaches to the planet - linked with our varied love of trees to represent healthy growth, social evolution and quiet wisdom.
